This accommodation is situated in front of St. John's church, the former residence of the pope,officialy part of the Vatican. The St.John's Basilica is an importan place of worship and actually the oldest catholic church of the western world. Here you can also find the Scala Santa. If you are interested in visiting the Catacombs (catacombe di S.Calisto), you can take the bus behind the Basilica.
Since this comfortable budget lodging is situated in the heart of the eternal city, you can easily find refuge during the lazy roman afternoons and start your conquest of Rome from here. We enjoy a location in a safe and residential area of Rome, that offers all types of local shops at conveniente rates.
When you walk out of the door, you will find many cheap places to eat nearby where local people go; excellent genuine italian food and wine at convenient prices.

Walking directions (from Termini Station):
From Piazza dei Cinquecento, turn left to Via Giovanni Giolitti, turn left to Via Filippo Turati Continue to Via Principe Umberto turn right to Viale Manzoni and turn left to Via di Santa Croce in Gerusalemme. turn right to Via Giovanni Battista Piatti and turn left to Via Federico Menabrea. On the right side is Via Carlo Felice.

Market of Via Sannio, is very interesting to visit, with occasional nuggets of value or eccentric charm.
Placed in via Sannio, next to the subway station San Giovanni of the A line, is open on weekdays in the morning.

Once we arrived in Rome, we were greeted half-way down the street - talk about service!
We were given our keys and showed us up to our room, which was more than adequate. We had a private bath, sitting room, and a shared computer in the main lobby area which was always available and on-line.
We were provided with a with a walking route, transportation and eating recommendations, as well as some great company. I have already recommended this establishment to several people in my workplace. On the day we left, the staff alerted us to a metro strike, arranged alternate transportation which arrived immediately and took us to our shuttle ahead of time. There was no way we would have been aware of this, and we were in no condition to walk to the Termini!
It is uncommon to find accomodations that are in a good location, reasonably priced, and have great customer service. The Sleeping Beauty hits high on all points. We'll be back soon
