A tipical day in Rome
In the morning you wake up with the sun that enters your room. In fact, the sun never fails to appear in Rome which helps the Romans to always be happy and generous with smiles.
If you choose our Bed and Breakfasts, breakfast will be rich and will vary and offers fresh and original products. You can have the breakfast in the comfort of the breakfast room or in case of some apartments also on the open-air terrace (Apartment Cinderella).
If you prefer you can also go down the street to the nearest bar and have an Italian espresso: listen to fascinating people talk about "calico" or whistle an Italian tune. Carry on with your stroll: any accommodation we offer will be situated in the historical centre of Rome and only few minutes from all the main tourist sites and places of historical and cultural interest.
 You can enter the Basilica van S.Giovanni and admire the fresco's on the ceiling as well as the sculptures in the corridors and breath in the magic of this church with it's thousand year history.
Walk along Via Labicana where the Colosseum is imponently looming on the horizon: here, amongst the most famous in the world, once the gladiators would challenge one another in front of a cruel emperor. Just beyond the Colosseum your walk will talk you to the Circus Maximus, an enormous space where the horse cart-races where kept (Ben Hur) and where you can stroll peacefully without any noise or traffic.
 After this taste of history, proceed along Lungotevere to see the river Tiber that cuts through Rome, or enjoy a guided boat tour. Meanwhile you find yourself surrounded by numerous monuments that testify to the greatness of Rome that once was: the Vittoriano, the Pantheon, Campo de' fiori.
Stop for lunch at noon in one of the many restaurants or trattorias that offer the best roman and Italian recipes, created by expert cooks. Or else, enjoy a sandwich on a bench in Villa Borghese, the great park that belongs to all Romans; an immense green area the size of 80 soccer fields sprinkled with trees and grassy fields. While enjoying the incredible display of art and culture, remember to make time you're your shopping as well: you will find designer- shops and boutiques in Via Condotti and Via del Corso of fashion designers that have made Italian fashion world famous.
 At sundown you the choice of being enchanted by St. Peter's Square or to be mesmerized by Piazza Navona or the Trevi Fountain which will leave you stunned once again.
But, of course, these are only some of the many ways in which to enjoy Rome. What is so fascinating about Rome is that you can truly live it in a thousand different ways. |
